WHAT DOES UPF 50+ MEAN?
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UVA and UVB radiation passes through a fabric. UPF 50+ is the highest official classification and means that the protective fabric blocks at least 98% of UVA and UVB radiation.
WHAT DOES INDEPENDENTLY TESTED BY SGS MEAN?
SGS is an internationally recognized testing and inspection company. The relevant material performance has been measured within the tested scope according to laboratory standards.
WHAT DOES OEKO-TEX® PRODUCT CLASS I MEAN?
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 means that the fabric has been tested for harmful substances. Product Class I is the strictest product class; the certification here applies at the fabric level.
WHAT DOES WITHOUT CHEMICAL COATING MEAN?
The UV protection is not a separate layer or after-treatment on the surface. It originates from the material itself and therefore does not form a temporary finish.
WHAT DOES OEKO-TEX® SAY ABOUT SKIN CONTACT?
The fabrics used are certified at the fabric level according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Product Class I. This classification concerns material safety for direct skin contact and is not a medical suitability claim.
WHY IS TESTING AT FABRIC LEVEL IMPORTANT?
It is the fabric that comes into direct contact with the skin. That is why material safety, in addition to UV performance, is a separate and important part of the quality assessment.
DOES WASHING AFFECT UV PROTECTION?
The gloves are washable and reusable according to the care instructions. Hand wash only and allow to air dry naturally, preferably laid flat. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, and do not iron.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MY SHIELD AND MY MINERAL?
MY SHIELD has a firm, protective feel when worn. MY MINERAL is lightweight, supple, and barely noticeable. Both collections offer certified UPF 50+ protection for the hands.
WHICH PART OF THE HAND IS PROTECTED?
The gloves provide protection for the hands. Nails and fingertips remain free for touch, grip, and precision.
